Impossible?
Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who fnd it easier to live in a world they are been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, its an option. Impossible is not a declaration, its a DARE. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING

Hoo-Ah!
we were told to write down our most defining moment in army. i managed to copy what i wrote on the paper to my book so i can share with u people. but apologies for the lousy english or poor grammar. i was only given 45mins to do this assignment.
Defining Moment
17 May 2005. 2300hrs. i was on my bed for the very first time in 3 Guards camp. fearing of all the unexpected, i slept in my vest slack. some even put on their boots.
"turnout!""turnout!""fall in in full battle order now!" i could only hear noise out of the dark. the time on my watch read 0300hrs. i knew this was goin to happen, but i wasnt ready for what was to come.
the things that happened really shocked me. its like a wake-up call telling me, "hey, welcome to Guards unit!". no wonder its called 'exercise welcome'. we were made to do things back in our recruit days but more n worst. everything in and out of the field pack. ran around the parade square. push ups. crunches. jumping jacks. more push ups. ran again.
after all this, the cadres told us to drink up. i knew there would be more. while hydrating, i suddenly poured out everything like a merlion. my body admit defeat. i asked permission to fall out while the rest continue with the route march and casevac mission.
i was sitting there with the rest of the fall out guys. my mind was blank. still recovering from that shock. staring into the Guards logo n motto, 'Ready to Strike', i told myself this is just the start. it took me some time for me to realise that im really in guards.
soon, i rejoined the whole course. we ran all the way to east coast beach. here we did things that never crossed my mind. from leopard crawling back and forth to staying in a push up position while one by one crawled under us.
finally, we went into the water holding each other hands for support. then for the first time we recite the guards creed, my hairs started to stand reciting those words. i told myself as much as i could, i will try to uphold the creed.
my first day at 3 Guards will remain as the most memorable and defining day that i could share this story with the rest of my friends from other units.
hows that for a guy who havent been using the pen n write as much as he could since secondary school?. nyahahaha. oraite now.. till then..
